The results of the two week match play were eagerly anticipated: 1st Flight champion, Carol Guild, runners up, Dolly Schaedel, semi’s, Jo Crook and Donna Purcell; 2nd Flight Sharon Claude, runner up Ann Hammond, semi’s Veda Baack and Carol Ruff; 3rd Flight Lucca Buzbee, runner up Anita Barber, semi’s Nelda Machutas and Laverne Becker

5/19. Scramble – luncheon and meeting followed: In first place the team of Dee Monsonis, JoAnn Hicks, Lois Fitzsimmons and Shirley Trusal. The second place team winners were Pat Tjsvold, Jean Kulander, Rita Raymond and Kay Berner. In third place the team of Carolyn Tagatz, Lucsa Busbee, Janet Baron and Kathy Bushbaum. We all enjoyed the very generous Cobb Salad and the springtime flower centerpieces carried out the theme of Swing into Spring. Thank you Jan Stuckey, Joan Timberlake and Janet Baron. A few last thoughts—notice the brilliant blooms the Saguaro cacti are flaunting. Be aware of the monsoons we will be experiencing in the months to come; they are sudden and accompanied by rainfall, hail, and heavy winds. They display a disturbance of anger.

Our first preparation meeting for Palo Verde Cottonwood cancer tournament was held this month; the date for Golf Fore Life is November 17. We hope to have another successful tournament this year.
