The temperatures were cooperative again this past month and we had a great time at golf. Our April 12 outing was One Gross plus One Net format. The morning winning foursome with a total 109 were John Mitchell, Larry Guild, Duane Enzminger and Jerry Lynne. The afternoon winning foursome with a 114 was Bill Saxton, Joel Bengiat, Jim Peck and a Blind Draw.

On April 17 and 19 we had a Home and Home with SunBird Country Club. The winning foursome with a 206 was Linn Henderson, Arnie Teal, Bill Phillips and Cal MacPherson. The afternoon foursome on the April 19 with a Scramble format and a score of 38 1/2 was Tim Lamb, Bill Rethke, Vaughn Torguson and Wally Cornelius.

On April 26 and 27 we played our annual Ryder Cup with Cottonwood Men’s Club and Cottonwood hung on to the trophy with a total team winning score of 76.5 to Sun Lakes’ 67.5. The afternoon foursome on the April 26 at PVMGA, with a Two Best Ball Net winning score of 108 (in a two-way tie) were the team of Larry Orton, Jim Agar, Harry Martin and Al Ivanich and also Vic Lesch, Bill Rethke, Louis Grijalva and Wally Cornelius.

On May 3 our winning foursome with a winning score of 97, with a Two Best Ball Net format was Jack Hill, Tom Becker, Dennis Grendahl and Roger Bazzill.

On May 10 we had two man teams with a One Net Best Ball format. The Flight 1 winners were John Mitchell and Dennis Grendahl and the Flight 2 winners were Al Baumgartner and Buster Crook.

Upcoming events will be our monthly summer league from June to September, our Home and Home with Oakwood in August and our regular morning Saturday outings. There will not be any PVMGA board meetings or membership meetings until September.
