Absolutely nothing like it! Bazaar 2014 was the best ever! Not only the best, but the most profitable in all areas – quality, quantity, workers and best (but not least) fellowship. Volunteers came from all over Sun Lakes ready to help wherever needed. Even the firemen came over and helped load and unload along with young men from Hamilton High School. And our customers were fantastic – if it weren’t for the friendly smiles and participation we received from all of you in this area, it would be hard to say what the outcome would have been. So we at Sun Lakes Women’s Association send many thanks to Sun Lakes Country Club, Cottonwood, Palo Verde, Ironwood/IronOaks and the entire community for your great support.
Needless to say we also thank our local merchants for helping to advertise this annual event. I know some of you know what work we do, but some don’t know. So it never hurts to remind one and all of our purpose – every penny we make goes right back into our Sun Lakes community (all phases), for needs they may have such as items that need to be replaced or improvements made; plus we help Neighbors Who Care and the Fire Department. Next month I will include a list of those we have helped in 2014.
But hold on! We work all year! The dear ladies use their abilities to paint, arrange flowers, do needlework preparing for next year’s bazaar. This is open to any woman living in the Sun Lake community. Our meetings are from 9:00-11:00 a.m. on Mondays in the Arts and Crafts Room at the Clubhouse at Sun Lakes Country Club. We’d love to have you!
As a matter of interest, we sell through the whole year. If you are in the market to buy furniture or kitchen appliances, please check us out by calling 480-895-9270 ext.220 and you will be put in touch with someone who can help you. Also, if you would like to donate any household items in good condition you may call the same number.
Last but not least, our hats off to the staff at the Sun Lakes Country Club Clubhouse including the workers at the Sunset Grill for all of their food preparation and service.
Ladies, we hope you will join us and have a cup of mighty good coffee.
