Rags Allen Band performing at the Sunday Dance Club

Kathleen and Glenn Baldwin at the Valentines Dinner Dance

On April 14, 2019, The Rags Allen Band will be performing for our dance club. In case you haven’t heard of this band, here is a brief bio: Rags Allen – Piano/keyboard player and member of “Arizona Nightclub Performers Hall of Fame.” Rags played with artists Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Charlie Pride, Mickey Gilley in venues throughout the country including MGM Grand and Grand Ol’ Opry. Chuck Bene – Guitarist and inductee into the “Rockabilly Hall of Fame.” Chuck performed for decades in the New York City area, including 10 years with the Bobby Lane Trio. Chuck also wrote music for Ricky Nelson and the Hullabaloo TV Show. Roy Calhoun – Drummer, started professionally at the age of 13. Roy played alongside Wayne Newton, Eddie Arnold, Julie London, Phil Harris, John Davidson and many others. You might know Roy and his wife Barbara as owners of the ALLSTAR music stores here in the Valley. Mark Webb – Lead singer and “Vocalist of the Year” by Phoenix Country Music Club. Mark has performed throughout the Valley as a pop, country, rock and Latin and blues singer. Indeed, this band sounds as good as their credentials!
