The Chandler Food Bank has notified Risen Savior Lutheran Church that it exceeded last year’s spring Food Drive with total donations of 4,535 pounds (2.3 tons) of canned and packaged foods – enough food to enable Chandler families to prepare over 3,500 meals. In addition, they donated checks totaling $145 which have been forwarded to the food bank.
Rev. Ron Burcham, Senior Pastor of Risen Savior said, “Once again we wish to extend our sincere thanks to all Sun Lakes residents who joined with us to share their blessings with our less fortunate neighbors who will be receiving needed food assistance during the coming summer months.”
