The new season of the Sun Lakes Roadrunners RV Club has kicked off with the first two meetings of the year held in October and November. We attended the Sun Lakes Open House events this year to educate the community about our club.
The Roadrunners are about fun, travel, new adventures, good food, and friends. Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month, October through May, except December. Meetings are held at Sun Lakes Country Club starting at 6:30 p.m., with social time and rally sign-ups at 6 p.m.
Our club is not just RV rallies, but fun social events! In December we hold our annual Roadrunners Christmas Party. This year it is on Monday, Dec. 9, at Palo Verde Country Club. Doors open at 5 p.m. for a cash bar followed by dinner and dancing until 9 p.m. Advance reservations are required.
Interested in learning more or becoming a member? Membership is open to anyone who owns a recreational vehicle (RV) and who is 55 years old or older. Membership is not limited to Sun Lakes residents. We welcome other neighboring communities as well. Guests are always welcome at meetings. Our next meeting is on Jan. 14, 2025, in the Sun Lakes Country Club Navajo Room at 6 p.m. The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m.
