Rotarian of the Month Chuck (Charles) Deuth

Chuck [Charles] Deuth was awarded the title of Rotarian of the Month for November.

Chuck, who is married to Kathy, has two children and three grandchildren and comes to us from Kansas where he pursued a degree in mathematics and taught math before turning to sales with IBM and other financial service organizations.

Chuck joined Sun Lakes Rotary in March 2013 and has been a leader from the start. He put his leadership skills to work by taking on one of our most prestigious programs: the Dictionary Project. This project had been guided for many years by another member who due to ill health had to relinquish his title of “The Dictionary Man.”. It is probably one of the most satisfying projects for our members and volunteers. Dealing with third graders is always a pleasure, but witnessing their delight and interest in obtaining their own dictionaries is unsurpassable. It’s quite a feat however to organize the necessary funding to buy the books, book markers, stickers etc., coordinate sufficient volunteers and get it all together. This year Chuck reached out to all the Rotary clubs in the area for help and got the job done without a hitch. Chuck is also there to support all the other projects and fundraisers necessary to make all our community projects possible also. We are all very grateful to Chuck for his dedication, his great sense of humor and generous supportive attitude. The award is very deserving.
