RV Club off to great year

Patricia Prekel, Secretary

The Sun Lakes Roadrunners have held their annual January trek to Quartzsite, AZ, where everyone had a great time in the desert. The Wagon Masters planned this outing as a “freedom” rally, so attendees were responsible for their own meals, a perfect way to start the 2018 rally season.

In February, the club will be traveling to Benson, AZ, where we will have the opportunity to tour mines, caverns and even ghost towns. Of course, the golfers always find a nearby course to visit.

Many other rallies are planned for this year, including visits to the Verde Valley; Gallup and Canyon de Chelly; Ruidoso and Albuquerque, NM; and Eloy, AZ, where the bravest members will be skydiving. If you own an RV and would like to have some fun, come and check us out.

We are a non-profit organization, the objectives of which are to provide opportunities for fraternization of RV owners through club meetings, rallies and other social events. The club meets monthly, October through May, on the second Tuesday of the month. We meet in the Navajo Room of the Sun Lakes Phase 1 Country Club at 6:30 p.m. Our next meeting will be Tuesday, February 13, 2018.
