At the January HOA board meeting on January 10, 2017, the Sun Lakes County Club, an SAR (Sons of the American Revolution) flag certificate was presented to Board 2nd Vice President Vince DeVos. This award was given for flying the American flag continually, day and night. This is a national honor, and it follows the presentation of a certificate to Ms. Kelly Haynes, G.M., at an SAR meeting in May of 2016 for flying the largest flag display at a country club in all of Arizona.
