Sarah Pennington was recently honored as MVP of the Arizona Diamondbacks Ticket Office during a pre-game ceremony at Chase Field. Sarah has worked in the D-backs ticket office since 1999, their second year of existence. This is the second time she’s won this award; she was previously honored in 2012. Sarah began working as a ticket representative because “she wanted something fun to do.” That was 17 years ago and she’s still having fun. Plus she must be doing a really great job. Congratulations, Sarah!

Sarah’s husband, Ron, also works part-time for the D-backs. He’s the coordinator of the Golden Glovers, the guys and gals who sit along the left and right field foul lines and chase down foul balls. Ron also performs the Golden Glover duties himself at times during the season. It looks like both the Penningtons are having a good time at the old ballpark!
