The Scandinavian Club of the Sun Lakes area invites all to its November 15 Heritage event featuring appetizers, dinner, Scandinavian dancers, ethnic displays and warm fellowship.

Social hour begins at 5:00 p.m. with appetizers including pickled herring and Scandinavian cheese, followed by a toast and “skoll” led by President Jerry Johnson, with dinner at 6:00 p.m.

Last year’s programs included a Sun Lakes resident who emigrated from Norway and Scandinavian Exchange students. In April, our guest was from the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce who showed an overview of immigration/fugitive in Sweden and compared the business climate and taxation in Sweden with the U.S.

The club has been meeting at Sun Lakes Country Club for 30 years. Dinner is $15 for members who pay $15 annual dues, and $20 for others.

Call Carol Jacobson at 480-295-5864 for reservations by November 3, or register at scanclubsev.weebly.com (tap on  Click Here).
