Simplify with a life digitally organized

Sue Schwartz

Steve Jobs’ impact on modern education might be the most underestimated aspect of his legacy. Then again, maybe it is not surprising Jobs had a visionary prescription to revolutionize teaching and learning. In short, he wanted to revolutionize education the way he did music, phones and computers.

Today, his legacy lives on, and not only with iPads and educational apps. There’s a whole branch of revolutionary education culture germinating from Jobs’ lifelong dedication to make learning exceptional again, from multi-level online research lessons to greater emphasis on student participation in their own lesson plans.

Our local Apple store at Chandler Mall exemplifies this classroom vision. The Sun Lakes Apple Computer Club enjoys the benefit of specialized classes designed to meet our needs, complete with a private class.

For all of his contributions to business, technology and society, we’re just now seeing the manifestation of Steve Jobs’ vision for education. It might be his biggest gift of all.
