Sisk Park Bocce Club has annual tournament

Thirty-two Sisk Park Bocce Club members braved cool temperatures and partly-wet courts to play in the club’s annual tournament. The round-robin tourney featured players drawn at random and placed on teams. Each team played games against three other teams drawn at random.

The team of Kathy Mylnaraczyk, Maria Racano, Michael Dalsanders and Frank Naive took first place honors and received $20 each in prize money. Two teams tied for second and third place. Players were Mike Buscaglia, Larry Beck, Jegg Blankenship, Rich Raines, Linda Parfitt, Carol Kennedy, Ron Kiel and Bob Fernandez. Each received $7.50 in prize money. Other participants were Joy Kiel, Arve and Carol Moser, Roy Parfitt, Carl Schell, Bob Kennedy, Doc Heckler, Jim and Diane Roberts, Mike Mylnarczyk, Colleen Linko, Bill and Val Crump, Tony Racano, Larry Vanderslice, Rita Lobello, Cindy Fernandez, Pat Naive and Jane Cambridge.

The club completed its second tournament March 24. A Low Hanging Fruit tournament March 28 and an annual Potluck and Awards Party on March 31 finished out the season. The club will take the summer off and resume play in November.
