The Nebraska state dinner committee was proud to be able to issue a check in the amount of $15,000 to the TeamMates Mentoring Program sponsored by Tom Osborne, former University of Nebraska football coach.

The proceeds came from the private Meet and Greet party with Osborne hosted by Norm Riffel and Ed Schoening at the Oakwood Country Club Poolside Café prior to the dinner held on February 28. Osbone was guest speaker at the annual event.

Michigan

Michiganders enjoyed a great state party held Friday, March 27; 110 Sun Lakers who once lived in Michigan or consider themselves a Michigander were treated to a fantastic served meal in the Cottonwood Ballroom followed by a fun-packed entertaining evening. Entertainment was provided by Bob Pasch impersonating Bing Crosby and dance music (of course Motown) was provided by DJ Jamal. Both the entertainer and the DJ were from Michigan. Many guests were recipients of either a 50/50 draw or donated raffle gifts which were generously donated by local golf courses, restaurants and beauty salons.
