Stone & Barrel, an IronOaks Taphouse, has opened to rave reviews and a packed house nightly since launching  November 1.

The menu features wood-fired artisan pizzas, signature barrel-aged drinks and main dishes such as Tagliatelle Bolognese, fish and chips and the Millionaire Burger, made with ground NY Strip steak. The restaurant, with its fresh décor and emphasis on locally-sourced food, gives Sun Lakes a much-needed venue for taking guests, or just gathering around the “long” tables after a day out on the links.

Saturday night features a Prime Rib special, while a daily 3:00-6:00 p.m. Happy Hour features $3 Michelob Ultra, Stella Artois, wine and well drinks, $2-off appetizers (except shrimp cocktail) and $8 cheese or pepperoni wood-fired pizzas. The restaurant also has an all-day Happy Hour special of Pabst Blue Ribbon 16 oz. bottles for only $2.50. “And the large lounge area features live entertainment on most Friday and Saturday nights,” said IronOaks Executive Lifestyle Director Trish Huff.

“The members and the public are very excited to have Stone & Barrel open,” said Huff, who often drops by the restaurant to greet members and their guests. “They are enjoying the food, especially the fish and chips, which has been a big hit. And they love the outdoor seating and fire pits.”

The restaurant is open Sunday-Thursday from 8:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 8:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. Breakfast is served until 11:00 a.m. daily; Sunday features a brunch menu.
