Sun Lakes Chorale welcomes spring

Yvonne Orlich

With the holidays behind us the Sun Lakes Chorale is looking forward to spring and has begun preparing in earnest for the upcoming Spring Concert. Mark your calendars, because the date is set – Thursday, March 14, at 7:00 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.). The venue will once again be the United Methodist Church at 9248 Riggs Road in Chandler, next to the Robson Library. Everyone gets busy as spring approaches, so get your tickets early.

Tickets will be available at Ace Hardware on Riggs Road on Ticket Tuesdays on February 19 and 26 and again on March 5 and 12, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. until noon. You may also contact any Chorale member to purchase your ticket OR you can also send a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your check made out to the Sun Lakes Chorale to Carolyn Ellis. Call Carolyn at 480-883-6997 for mailing details. Tickets are $10.00, and the concert sells out early, so don’t hesitate.

This spring’s concert will feature a variety of musical selections covering a wide spectrum of musical styles. In just a matter of weeks, we will put together a program filled with happiness, love, spirituality, dreams and toe-tapping rhythms. Many of the numbers will be easily recognized by many members of the audience, and many will be new to some of you. But all will be memorable. You can look forward to arrangements of “Colors of the Wind,” “Fascinating Rhythm” and “He’s Got the Whole World In His Hands,” to name just a few of this spring’s presentations. In addition to the full 75+ member Chorale performances, we offer solos, duets, quartets and musical instrument accompaniment by many of our talented singers and musical guests.

As is always the case, the Chorale hopes our performance will lift your spirits and ensure that you will want to come back again for the next concert in December. We hope you’ll join us on March 14.
