Sun Lakes – Cottonwood Palo Verde at Sun Lakes

Message from the President

Anne Montgomery

The hot and humid “dog days” of summer are, thankfully, nearly behind us. While your HOA accomplishes many projects during this quieter time in our community, we are looking forward to fall with its cooler temps and to our summer travelers returning to get ready for a new season of activities, great entertainment, food events, and meeting new friends. Tuesday, September 3, marks the debut of CWPV’s new Water Volleyball at the Cottonwood main pool on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. All CWPV homeowners are invited to take part, either to play or cheer on those who do. For more information, contact Bob at [email protected].

Fitness Activity Center (FAC) Update: This month, according to our contractor’s schedule, the landscape irrigation and planting will be completed. Interior work continues, with floor tile being laid in the locker rooms, along with installation of partitions, benches and lockers, and plumbing fixtures; work on the spa includes tile and cool decking. Various other finishing work is ongoing as well. The site remains a hard-hat area – authorized personnel only. Check the interior progress on our website or by visiting Homeowner Services for the weekly updated photos.

Introducing CWPV’s August Employee of the Month – Julie Ortbahn. Julie is one of the most positive people you will ever meet. She enjoys all aspects of her job, especially working with our homeowners and fellow employees. It doesn’t matter what she is asked to do; Julie is always willing and up to the task. She is a self-starter and always looking for ways to improve the Recreation Department. In fact, she effectively covered the Recreation Department while the manager was on leave for six weeks. Furthermore, Julie happily covers the Administration Department whenever and wherever there is a need. She is funny, hardworking, and a take-charge kind of employee who makes everything easier on management. We are very fortunate to have her as August’s outstanding Employee of the Month. Congratulations, Julie!

Happy Labor Day!
