Sun Lakes – Cottonwood Palo Verde at Sun Lakes

Message from the President

Anne Montgomery

Dear Homeowners,

The annual Cottonwood Palo Verde Homeowners meeting was held on March 25 in the San Tan Ballroom. We hope that many of you were able to attend our “State of the Union” presentation. Your Board of Directors encourages all Cottonwood Palo Verde homeowners to attend the monthly Agenda Planning and Board meetings. These meetings are the place to get the straight scoop on what is happening in our community, what projects are being planned, and where our dollars are being spent. Once the business of the Board has been completed, there is always time for homeowner questions and comments. The date, time, and place are published Friday in the weekly newsletter, The Flyer.

Say hello to Adan Ruelas, Cottonwood Palo Verde’s March Employee of the Month. Adan has been our Common Area Supervisor for the last year and a half. He continues to show us that he has a clear vision of the work that needs to be done and is always looking for ways to make Cottonwood Palo Verde a place that our homeowners can be proud of. Adan takes the time to train other employees in the correct way to do things and looks for ways to save time and money for the association. He is a “hard-charger,” has a positive attitude, and is ready to go the extra mile if needed. Congratulations, Adan, and thank you for bringing your outstanding work ethic to the job every day!

It has been a privilege to serve on the Board of Directors of our wonderful community for the past five years. My term ended when your new Board was seated on March 25. I have had the good fortune to work with a team of extraordinary Board colleagues and a first-rate General Manager. I thank all of you for your support, cooperation, and humor. And not least, thank you to YOU, our homeowners, for your vision and support. I am pleased and grateful to be exiting this position with the knowledge that we have made a positive difference in Cottonwood Palo Verde and that your newly-seated Board of Directors along with management will continue to do so. That brings me to making a final pitch for joining one of our nine standing committees. We have always been a community of talented people who have lent their time, talents, expertise, and life experience to its guidance and successful governance. If you have some time, get involved — your community needs you!

Easter and Passover are coming up soon, and it is a wonderful time to surround ourselves with family and friends—enjoy, everyone!
