Sun Lakes Country Club – March 2015

Attention all SLHOAI Clubs

Are you a member of a Sun Lakes HOA1 sanctioned club?

It’s a new year which means it’s time to renew your club information. Having current, accurate information allows the Administrative Office to better handle room rentals for club meetings, special events and other office tasks. In order to renew your information, go to the Administrative Services Desk and fill out the required forms.

Has your club gained members from Sun Lakes HOA1?

If your club has 60 percent or more of its membership residing in Sun Lakes HOA1, you may be eligible for discounts on room rentals. To find out if you are eligible, please provide a current club roster with your membership’s names, phone numbers and addresses to the Events and Communications Manager, Heather Cutler. To make an appointment, please send a message to [email protected].

Is your club sanctioned with Sun Lakes HOA1?

If not, it should be! Being a sanctioned club has many advantages including possible discounted room rentals and additional advertising space. To find out more, contact Events and Communications Manager Heather Cutler at  [email protected].

New Member Assistance Program to help SLHOAI homeowners

There are many homeowners in Sun Lakes HOA1 who need a little extra assistance and this committee is all about providing that help.

We gather our surrounding resources and focus on matching up homeowners with services they need. Whether the help needed can be given from the Sun Lakes HOA1 departments and clubs or from external organizations such as the Sun Lakes Fire Department, Sheriff’s Posse, or Neighbors Who Care, we want to make sure our homeowners and fellow neighbors are being cared for.

This committee has been in the planning stages for the last year, and we are ready to get out there and start helping our fellow neighbors, homeowners and friends. The intent of the club is to be a positive, helpful entity in the Sun Lakes community. Using the already established resources in the community, we aim to be the hub in Sun Lakes HOA1 to help and assist those in need.

Please join us at our next meeting and see what we are all about. The committee meets every second and fourth Friday of each month at 2:00 p.m. in the Mirror Room. Committee members must be members of Sun Lakes HOA1, but volunteers can come from any HOA in Sun Lakes.

For questions or more information, please call Events and Communications Manager Heather Cutler at 480-895-9270, ext. 128. Come be a positive change in our community!

SLHOAI Communications Committee reaches out

The Communications Committee of Sun Lakes HOA1 is ramping up its efforts to better inform and interact with homeowners through new initiatives including increased Communications Committee articles to the Splash newspaper and Sun Laker newsletter. Information included will be derived from the committees in Sun Lakes HOA1. Our goal is to become an improved conduit for Sun Lakes HOA1 committees, clubs and individuals to voice their information and ideas to the SLHOA1 community and to receive feedback.

One way residents can stay informed is for each homeowner to sign up to receive the eBlasts sent out through the Association’s website at www.sunlakescountryclub.com; eBlasts contain the most current information and updates. If you have changed your e-mail or need assistance setting up an account with the website, please go to the Administrative Services Desk in the Clubhouse and ask for the website help form. By filling this out, we will update your information and contact you if necessary to make sure the eBlasts are being received and sign up homeowners if necessary. Please keep in mind that if two people reside at the same unit/lot number but have different email addresses, we are able to setup the eBlasts to go to both email addresses.

The Communications Committee would also like to encourage homeowners to attend the various committee meetings which are listed on page three of every Sun Laker. This is the best way to stay informed and many times, topics are first discussed in committee meetings before being brought to the regular board meetings for discussion.

To reach the Communications Committee with a question, comment, or recommendation, please feel free to fill out a comment card or write a note and submit it to the Communications Committee mail box which is located at the Administrative Services Desk in the Sun Lakes Country Club Clubhouse. The committee is working on getting an e-mail established so homeowners may send emails electronically to the committee. We will inform the community when this becomes available.

Overall, the Communications Committee seeks to improve positive communications within the Sun Lakes HOA1 community. We look forward to hearing from homeowners and answering their concerns.
