On August 15, the Sun Lakes Garden Club will present Jo Setliff, a Maricopa County Master Gardener. She will cover the basics of vegetable gardening in the low desert to prepare us for planting in the fall. She will focus on the Master Gardener resources available for everyone, provided by the planting calendar and all of the University of Arizona publications from scientific research of what works when growing vegetables in the desert.

Sun Lakes Garden Club meets at 9:30 a.m. on the third Tuesday of every month at Sun Lakes Chapel Center, 9230 E. Sun Lakes Blvd. (located across the street from the Sun Lakes Country Club and next to the Sun Lakes Chapel). Visitors are welcome.
