Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation Sisterhood holds annual card party

Esther Spear

The Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation Sisterhood wishes to thank the nearly 200 women who attended the annual Card Party on February 12. A special thank you to the co-chairpersons, Janey Burnce and Judy Elias. All of their hard work, along with a number of volunteers and bakers, made this event memorable and terrific. This charity event would not have been successful without the generous donations of the following restaurants who donated gift certificates: Blue 32 Sports Grill, Brio’s Tuscan Grille, Brooklyn V’s Pizza, The Cheesecake Factory, Chompie’s, Cottonwood Palo Verde, DC Steakhouse, d’Vine Bistro & Wine Bar, Firebirds Wood Fired Grill, Fired Pie, First Watch, High Tide Seafood Bar & Grill, Keegan’s Grill, Phoenix Palace, Sal’s Gilbert Pizza, Singing Pandas, Stone & Barrel, Stone & Vine, Sweet Tomatoes and Zoe’s Kitchen. Thank you also to the many donors and sponsors who gave so generously.

The next meeting of the Sisterhood will be on April 19. The speaker will be Renee Levin, Community Affairs Manager from Intel Corporation. She will discuss Intel in Israel, driverless cars and school support for Chandler schools. The meeting will take place at the Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation’s Chapel Center at 1:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

Save the date of Thursday, May 17, for Sisterhood’s Paid-up Membership Luncheon. It will take place at the Tea Room in Fulton Ranch Shopping Center. Details to follow.
