Breakfast Lions Donate to Neighbors Who Care

Sun Lakes Breakfast Lions Club (SLBLC) Treasurer Kay Glantz and member Judy McFarland present the club’s annual yearly donation to Neighbors Who Care (NWC) AZ, Executive Director Sheryl Keeme. In addition, the SLBLC made a separate donation to NWC this past Christmas. It is impossible to put into words the many good things that Neighbors Who Care provides those in the Sun Lakes community throughout the year. They truly are a godsend to so many of our neighbors.

The Melvin Jones Fellow is one of the Lions Club International’s most prestigious awards and is awarded to Lions who have gone above and beyond in their service to their community. Past District Governor and past Sun Lakes Breakfast Lions Club President Jim Brotherton, chairperson of the Melvin Jones fellow committee for the SLBLC club, awards this year’s Melvin Jones Fellows to Leslie Tassan and Kay Glantz, for their contributions to furthering the goals of Lionism.
