Sheila Parkinson and Dianne Zimmerman – 4.5 Silver Medalists

Sheila Parkinson and Dianne Zimmerman competed in their second 4.5 Women’s Double’s tournament at SPA No. 1 Pickleball Championships in Surprise on October 30. Sheila and Dianne had a tough match against the No. 1 seeded pair winning 11-8 only to lose the next two games, sending them to the Bronze medal match. In the game to 15, Sheila and Dianne were behind 0-8 when they switched sides having the wind at their back. With a change in strategy they made a memorable comeback eventually winning the game 15-13 to send them into a re-match with the No. 1 seed for the Gold medal. Although Sheila and Dianne were not victorious, they played hard, had fun and won a Silver medal. Their only losses that day were to the ultimate Gold medal winners.
