Ron Young moved to Sun Lakes In January of 1993 from the San Francisco Bay area. Ron became a member of the Sun Lakes Sheriff’s Posse in September 1993 which means he has been a member of the Sun Lakes Sheriff Posse for 22 years. Ron has served in various office positions and was appointed as Training Officer in 2008 and served in this capacity until 2014. When talking to some of the Posse members that were trained by Ron, they said he was like a teacher you had in high school that was not one of your favorite teachers. After you were out of school you realized he was the best. Ron was concerned in teaching you the proper procedure to be a Posse member. When you took your final driving test with the Commander, he wanted to make sure you had no problem passing the test. We at the Posse Office wish to congratulate Ron and thank him for the time he has contributed to the community of Sun Lakes.
