The Sun Lakes Tennis Club leagues are back in session. The players are returning and the courts are filled with the usual enthusiastic play. We are thrilled to have so many new members joining our club. We have members from Sun Lakes, Cottonwood, Ironwood and Oakwood.

Just last year, I reported on our league schedulers Don Meehan, Ed Campion and Nancy Sjolin for their many years of faithful service to our club. Ed and Nancy will continue. However, Don and his wife have moved to Georgia to be closer to the children. Don, we appreciate all the 20 years that you have served our club and we are also going to miss Dorie’s yummy lemon pies at our potluck dinners. Sorry to see you go!

And now we welcome Bob Medlyn who will serve as the new Thursday Mixed League Scheduler. Thank you for filling the position.

The first Interclub Tournament activity starts with our visit to the Cottonwood Club on November 1. Results will be posted in the December Splash.

The yearly events schedule is posted at the pavilion. There are a few remaining spots to be filled for host and hostess for the potluck dinner meetings and the club tournaments. Our club is noted for the great participation of all the members. Be sure to fill in your name.

All Sun Lakes communities are welcome to join the club. Annual dues are $30 for members of Sun Lakes Country Club and $60 for associate members. Membership chair is JoAnn Miller. Call her at 480-895-7573 for your membership form.
