The seasons seem to change before our eyes as we turn toward the holidays. It is hard to believe “Snow and Celebration” paintings will soon replace our autumn show, “Furs, Feathers, and Fins,” that ran, roared, and swam on our wall. As usual, some of the paintings can be purchased for your home, or maybe as a present for the coming holidays.

A very experienced painter, Rosio Sanchez Starr, has joined our group. As we viewed her book of magnificent portrait sketches, all were in awe of her talent. After many years painting in oils and acrylics, Rosio has decided to turn to watercolors. The rest of us will profit from her presence.

Twenty-five years of photos recently provided a lot of memories and new information about the former Watercolor Club. A few long-serving members described the events, workshops, and members represented. Pictures of many years of paintings made us proud of our history.

Interested in joining our group to paint with us and explore and learn new methods, materials, and techniques? The WaterMedia Club meets Tuesdays from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Art Room off the Cottonwood Country Club atrium. Please come and visit us. You can also request information from Diane Hitt at 480-802-7080.
