In its first month of operation the SLWomens.org has had hundreds of hits and many, many good comments. If you haven’t had a chance to look at it, please do. You’ll learn a little about our great association that has donated over $1 million back to our Sun Lakes communities.

All this donating starts with you! First thing that happens is you, our generous neighbors, donate your unneeded items. With few exceptions we’ll come and pick it up, take it away and resell it or donate it. And it’s so easy for you to donate now online at SLWomens.org.

Once we receive the donation the hardworking, organized women in the association will get the items cleaned, tested, priced and stored until the fall Bazaar. All summer members have continued to accept donations and get products ready for the fall Bazaar. Now is really the perfect time to donate, so please look around your house and get a box ready; then give us a call or send a message online to SLWomens.org. Sorry, we can’t take any clothing, shoes or accessories.

September 12 will be our next regular monthly meeting at 9:30 a.m. in the Arts and Crafts Room of Sun Lakes Country Club. All women (owners and renters) in Sun Lakes are invited to join us. There are no dues, just a willingness to help and meet some of your friendly Sun Lakes neighbors.

All our efforts now will be focused on the big fall Bazaar. This year the Bazaar is Friday, November 4-Sunday, November 6. As usual, it will fill the lobby and all card and meeting rooms, the pool patio and the east parking lot. See you there!
