Camera Club  begins new  season in  October

Calling all photograph enthusiasts, photographers and lovers of all things photographic. The Sun Lakes Camera Club is about to start its new year this October. Come join in the adventure that is yours to create. Learn about taking great photos on your travel escapades. Whether it is down the street at a family picnic, clear across the pond chasing tulips and white nights or maybe the critters in your backyard are calling to you. As a photographer, you call the shots or the subject matter calls to you! We at the SLCC love taking pictures or simply enjoy viewing great imagery. Come check us out at an upcoming open house or simply stop by a meeting.

Our September meeting will be held on the morning of Thursday the 10th. It is a special tour of Sanderson Ford Museum. Pick up your camera and take a walk down memory lane along with vintage signs, car memorabilia, and a slice of yesterday. Once our tour is complete join us for some classic diner food along with come groovy atmosphere and camaraderie. Who knows, maybe you’ll run into yourself there! Contact John Livoti or Burt Williams for more details.

October is just around the corner when the start of the 2015-2016 Sun Lakes Camera Club year will soon be upon us. Our travel coordinators, Janet Ballard and Karen Melching, have been hard at work planning our fall 2015 and spring 2016 adventures. Our fall 2015 trip to Canyon de Chelly will be from October 19-22. This three night, four day excursion takes place during the start of the fall colors. Come experience a piece of Arizona so native, you’ll leave restless! Save your spot today for a special tour exclusive for our club. Contact Janet and/or Karen for details at [email protected] and [email protected].

Fundamentals of Digital Photography 2016 will be offered again by the Sun Lakes Camera Club. This 10-week course will be led by Dan Dragoon. Starting in January 2016 you can now find out how to turn your snapshots into works of art. It all starts with the camera you have and how to work its settings and function buttons. There is no limit to how many times you can take the class; there is always something new to learn or grasp better. Class size is limited. Look for more to come and sign-up this fall.
