Temple Havurat potluck and toy drive was a great success

Barbara Schwartz and Bobbi Parsons

Temple Havurat Emet had a very successful Hanukkah potluck party on the December 4. The food was plentiful and wonderful. We had a very, very successful toy drive for the children and new mothers at Chandler Regional Hospital.

To help celebrate the holidays, our congregants made a small donation of items that the children who are in the hospital could enjoy to cheer them up during the holiday season.

Over 100 coloring books and crayons, 50 small stuffed animals, assorted books and activity items and six of the cuddliest stuffed animals ever were donated. All items were new and we hope they will bring a little joy to some children. There will indeed be some happy times at the hospital in spite of the worries of illness.

Please check our website at www.templehavuratemet.org for information about all of our activities.
