Pastor Vernon Meyer of Sun Lakes United Church of Christ will be presenting four classes on the Apostle Paul that will include a short video presentation by the biblical scholar John Dominic Crossan. This is a more progressive view of scripture with a contemporary understanding of the biblical text. Themes will include the historical context for understanding Paul and his writings; do we find Paul appealing or appalling; how to read a Pauline Letter; how Paul the radical was domesticated; and a consideration of the Jewish Covenant and the Roman Empire.
