Hits & Misses Bowling League starts the new fall season Monday, October 1. Bowling begins at 10:30 a.m. with warm-up practice at 10:15 a.m. every Monday morning through mid-April with a short holiday break. Bowling location is at Brunswick Zone Kyrene Lanes in Kyrene Village at 6225 W Chandler Blvd. This is a non-sanctioned league.

Please sign up now, before September 15, so you can be placed on one of the four-member teams. Teams are newly formed each year and are a mix of men and women. Each team begins with equal handicaps, or as closely matched as possible. We welcome new-to-the-area bowlers, as well as those who haven’t bowled for a while and would like to return to the fun, exercise and competition.

Plan to attend the League Meeting on Monday, September 24, at 10:30 a.m. at Kyrene Lanes located at the above address. President Hal Newton will review the rules and regulations, address issues concerning bowling fees, banquet, etc., and answer your questions. Distributions will include the rules and a list of the new teams. Be sure to attend this informative meeting and to greet your new teammates. Bring your bowling ball, as there is usually a short time for free practice bowling following the meeting.

Bowling begins October 1. Beginning promptly at 10:30 a.m., we bowl three games and are usually finished by 12:45 p.m. We’re hoping to see all of you back from last year and wish to welcome the newcomers, single or a couple. In this league, couples are not permitted to bowl on the same team. Each team is required to have at least one woman and one man. This is a social league where it’s fun to meet your Sun Lakes neighbor and make new friendships.

Guys and Dolls meeting

Our annual meeting will be September 17 at 1:00 p.m. at McRay Lanes. We will be reviewing the new season and discussing the league rules, bowling fees and other important items. After the meeting, there will be three free games, so remember to bring your bowling ball!

The first day of bowling will start Monday, September 24, at 1:00 p.m. at McRay Lanes. Practice bowling will begin at 12:45 p.m. The season will end Monday, April 4, 2019, with a No Tap Sweeper. We will not be bowling on December 24, 2018, and December 31, 2018.

SnoBirds Bowling

Do you want to meet new people and have some fun? Come join the SnoBirds Bowling league. We are a mixed league with three people to a team. All ages and skill levels welcomed.

We bowl Monday mornings at 9:30 a.m. starting October 1 at McRay AMF Lanes located at the southeast corner of W. McRay Road and McClintock Drive. The season runs for 26 weeks.

Attention Bowlers: The Prime Timers Bowling League is gearing up for another fun season. We are having a meeting on September 5 and will be forming teams and bowling FREE afterward. The meeting starts at 1:00 p.m. at the McRay Bowling Center at Ray and McClintock Roads.

We welcome all newcomers who might be interested in bowling on a senior league.

Bowling starts on September 12 at 1:00 p.m.
