Guys and Dolls meeting

Our annual meeting will be September 21 at 1:00 p.m. in the Phoenix Room at Cottonwood Country Club. This will be an important meeting and we would like to see all attend. We will be discussing league rules. Our contract with McRay Lanes, bowling fees, the holiday lunch and other important items will be addressed.

Our “Mister Spot Team” will be in charge for the annual banquet. The time and place will be announced at a later date.

The first day of bowling will start Monday, September 28 at 1:00 p.m. at McRay Lanes. The season will end Monday, March 28, 2016.

We will not bowl over the Christmas and New Year’s holidays on December 22 and January 3.

We had 16 bowlers who participated in the Fun Time Tournament in Las Vegas in July at the Orleans Hotel. There were about 550 entrants. Results should be in the next Splash.

The Hits and Misses Bowling League and the Kings and Queens Bowling League are looking for new bowlers from the Sun Lakes area to bowl in the fall leagues. The leagues bowl at Kyrene Lanes, located at Chandler Boulevard and Kyrene Road in Chandler.

The Hits and Misses is a non-sanctioned league that bowls on Mondays at 10:30 a.m. The meeting for the Hits and Misses League is set for 10:30 a.m. on Monday, September 28 at Kyrene Lanes. The league will start its fall season the following Monday, October 5 at 10:30 a.m.

The Kings and Queens is a sanctioned league and bowls on Wednesdays at 12:30 p.m. The meeting for the Kings and Queens League is scheduled for Wednesday, September 30 at 12:30 p.m. at Kyrene Lanes. The league will start its fall season the following Wednesday, October 7 at 12:30 p.m.

Silver Eagles

The Silver Eagles mixed senior bowling league is looking for new members for the fall. The league bowls on Tuesdays at the Brunswick Kyrene Lanes which is located on Chandler Boulevard and Kyrene Road in Chandler.

The league is a non-sanctioned league that bowls every Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. We will begin bowling on September 29. There is a meeting on September 22 at noon at the bowling alley.
