Traveling this summer? Let’s talk about it

Bill Gates

As summer approaches, the Restless Minds discussion group will turn its attention to travel at its April meeting. The group will meet from 7:00-9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, in the Sewing Room of Oakwood’s Arts & Crafts Center.

As we consider a wide range of issues related to travel, safety and convenience are certain to top the discussion list. For example, how safe do you feel traveling abroad? What countries that you previously might have visited won’t you visit now?

And what about the hassles – the long airport lines and frequent delays? Have they caused you to alter the way you travel? Transport certainly impacts travel for many, including the transport available when abroad. Would you take public transport? Most people would prefer a car rental, like car hire Chania Crete, as it is quicker and easier to travel around the country, but it’s all down to personal preference.

It’s not all negative, of course. We’ll ask participants to share their best travel experiences and to recommend off-the-beaten-track places worth considering.

In this turbulent time of intense political divisions, April’s topic promises to be a lighter focal point for discussion.

Restless Minds is a group receptive to all people with open, inquisitive minds. There are no dues or membership requirements. All political and social points of view are encouraged to engage in this friendly exchange of ideas each month. Just show up and participate.
