Two big events coming to Community Church

Rockin’ M Wranglers

Sun Lakes Community Church is launching a series of big events. Starting on Sunday, November 11, at 5:30 p.m., is our Fall Roundup Dinner with a Western theme and features the Rockin’ M Wranglers – Jim and Jeanne Martin. These Western music artists have performed all over the United States with such groups as Riders in the Sky and both Rex Allen Jr. and Sr.

The Martins have been recognized by the Western Music Association, the Southwest Music Association and awarded Best Traditional Country Vocal Group in 2002 and recently they were inducted into the Arizona Country Western Hall of Fame.

The dinner will take place at the Sun Lakes Country Club. Tickets are just $15.00 for dinner and the show. To make reservations and get tickets, call 480-895-9147.

The second event is Friday, December 7, and features the New Legacy Project Quartet. Formerly known as the Blackwood Brothers Legacy, this promises to be a foot-stomping evening including country gospel, traditional and edgy newer southern gospel music – all staying true to the gospel message!

The New Legacy Project is led by Rick Price, owner and founder of New Legacy Project, who began his 40-year career in Southern Gospel music with the legendary Blackwood Brothers Quartet. Originally a protégée of the late Cecil Blackwood, Rick was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame with the Grammy and Dove-award-winning group in the 1990s.

There is no charge for the tickets – a free-will offering will be received. The tickets will guarantee you an early entry to the concert.

Pastor Jerry McGhee – a devoted fan of all kinds of music – said, “I can’t think of a better way to launch a series of BIG events than with these two groups. Stay tuned for other announcements, including two very important seminars that we are planning.”

Tickets – Really Big Tickets – are available now at the church office by calling 480-895-4197 or at the church worship services every Sunday, 9:30 a.m. at the Sun Lakes Chapel, 9240 E. Sun Lakes Blvd. N., across the street from Sun Lakes Country Club. More information is also available on the church website, www.sunlakescommunitychurch.org. Office phone is 480-895-9147.
