The Art at the Lakes 11th Annual Show is on March 2, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with a rain date of March 9. We are now receiving applications for artists to participate in the show. You can be one of the more than 85 artists offering paintings in all mediums: pottery, gourds, jewelry, photography, woodworking, yard art, metal work and much more. The application deadline is January 31, 2019. Applications are available by emailing your name, email address and phone number to [email protected]. Applications are also available in all Sun Lakes Art Rooms. We heard from artists who participated last year that the crowds were the largest ever, and sales were great.

Our own Sun Lakes firefighters will be selling hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, chips and drinks. The Dry Heat Pickers will once again be entertaining guests with great music. There will also be a raffle again this year worth more than $5,000. All of the proceeds from the raffle are given to the Sun Lakes Emergency Relief Fund which benefits community members who need assistance after a fire, accident or other emergency.

We are accepting donations to be used in the raffle. If you would like to make a donation, please contact Diane Hitt at 480-802-7080 before February 15. Thank you to all the businesses and residents who have made the previous raffles such a success.
