The Young Realty team swept a doubleheader from Core Photography on the final day of the season to top the Lakes Division for the Spring League championship. That sweep allowed the Youngsters to edge Wolfe & Associates by one game. The Young Realty team finished with a 10-4 record, while the Wolves completed a 9-5 campaign. Young Realty is sponsored by Susan & Terry Young and was managed by Bill Jacobson. The Core Photographers edged the A-1 Golf Carts squad to finish third.
Gary Alexander won the Lakes Division batting title, hitting .733. Al Grefsheim finished a close second at .729. Dennis Kennedy (.707), Doug Warwick (.706) and Jim Entwistle (.692) rounded out the top five.
Following the regular season, a three-day, double-elimination tournament was held. Results of that tournament will be recapped in next month’s Splash.
