Are you 60 years of age or older? If yes, then this is the club for you. No more driving to entertainment events. Leave the driving to our bus drivers. They drop us right at the entrance.

The 60 Plus Club was started many years ago and it is strictly a social club – no meetings – and open to all residents of Sun Lakes and the southeast Valley who are 60 years of age or older (individuals or couples). We have a Board of Directors and an events planning committee. We plan bus trips to theatre performances, sporting events, museums, other local events and some overnight trips. Sounds good? It is!

Some of the trips we had this year have been Hale theatre, Palms Theatre, Phoenix Symphony, Diamondback games, Turf Paradise, Tubac Art Festival, Butterfly Wonderland, Musical Instruments Museum, the Duttons’ show, a fantastic Christmas party and others. We also sponsor some out of town trips through All Aboard America.

The events committee meets about three or four times a year and Nancy Fisher puts together a flyer for the coming quarter which is mailed to every member. Nancy also puts our schedule of events in the Splash every month. Our annual dues have been the same for many years – $7.50 per person. A real bargain right?

How about trying us for a year and give us some new ideas? We really do need your input and ideas. Then tell us and others how you liked us.

Please call Jeanne Russo at 802-4286 if you are interested in the 60 Plus Club. She will send you a copy of the latest flyer.

See you soon? I hope so.
