Please come and join in the fun at the seventh annual Art at the Lakes Show sale to be held on March 7, 2015 from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. (rain date will be March 14, 2015) around beautiful Cottonwood Lake on Brentwood Drive in Sun Lakes. There will be art, food, music and a raffle.

We would like to welcome all creative artists throughout the Valley to the show. The show is open to all fine art artists whose work includes paintings in all mediums, pottery, sculpture, handmade jewelry, gourd art and photography. The fee to enter the show will be $40 to be used to cover the show expenses and the cost of an eight foot table and two chairs for each artist. Artists may share a table but each will be responsible for the fee. We will have applications available beginning November 15 in all the Art Rooms and the Cottonwood and Palo Verde offices and at [email protected].

The event is a benefit for the Sun Lakes Firefighters’ Emergency Relief Fund (SLERF) and the 100 Club of Arizona (www.100club.org). SLERF and the 100 Club not only help first responders and their families, but also anyone who needs assistance after an accident or fire and public safety personnel, respectively. The Sun Lakes firefighters will be serving donuts, burgers, hot dogs, chips, coffee and sodas during the show. In the past, about $8,000 was raised for the Relief Fund.

This year’s raffle items will include, but are not limited to, artistic items, gift baskets, gift certificates and dinners out. Please call Diane Hitt at 480-802-7080 if you wish to be included in the raffle prizes.

Volunteers would be appreciated to help on the day of the show and we would also appreciate volunteers to solicit businesses for donations in the weeks prior to the show. Please contact Beverly Walter at [email protected] or call her at 480-802-4680 if you wish to volunteer or have any questions.

A group of talented musicians from Sun Lakes will be at the show playing bluegrass, country and many popular tunes.
