Dr. Kianoush Kian M.D. is pleased to announce our new and expanded hours in our Sun Lakes Office. We are excited to be able to offer services five days a week to our Advanced Laser and Eye Family, and welcoming new patients to our practice.

Dr. Kian graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry from Southwestern University. While there he performed research on various microorganisms affecting humans and had a leadership role in student government including Student Senate and Student Union Presidencies.
Following his undergraduate studies, Dr. Kian was employed as a chemist with a major pharmaceutical company involved in the development and production of analgesics.
He then completed his medical education at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, where he graduated with honors and was involved in teaching other medical students and in preparing lecture materials for professors. During this time he did research on the effects of fungal organisms on the cornea which was presented at major scientific conferences. Eventually, his research was not only published, but also presented at prominent scientific conferences.
Dr. Kian spent his internship at Brackenridge Hospital in Austin, Texas. He completed his Ophthalmology training at Louisiana State University Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. At this major medical center he helped care for patients that were referred from Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Mississippi. There he developed a special interest and expertise in the fields of glaucoma and refractive surgery, in addition to the general practice of Ophthalmology. He also did research on corneal topography and its role in refractive surgery. Since then he has attended several major courses and seminars continuing his medical education in the fields of laser and refractive surgery.
Dr. Kian, with 20 years of experience, is a fellow of The American Academy of Ophthalmology, The American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons and the American Medical Association.
