The three Cottonwood women who were taking advantage of one of the many trees that were downed on the golf course are Mary Nelson, Billie Seiberling and Janet Quade.
July is a month of many challenges for golfers. Cottonwood women are known for their perseverance; in spite of the temperatures they still play and manage to score well. So, here are the winners:
07/03. Guess What Your Score Is! Before the start of play, the women got to guess what they thought their score would be that day; and the winner who guessed her score exactly was Dolly Schaedel. Other winners were Sandy Eeds and Rose Hames who were off by one stroke. Cathy Lastofka, Gloria Combs and Nancy Howell were off of their guess by two strokes.
07/10. Play was canceled because of the storm that had passed through the course and caused devastation with the trees and vegetation. Many thanks to Bill Todd and crew who worked hard to get things back in order.
