The Counseling Ministry at Sun Lakes United Methodist Church is hosting a program for the community that deals with stress and ways to cope. The program, called, “The Stress Test and Ways to Cope Workshop 2017,” will be held on Thursday, April 27, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., in Room 2 of the church’s Education Building.
The workshop will include positive mental health coping concepts and strategies. It will include a Personalized Stress Inventory and a Personal Coping Plan for all. There also will be a question and answer period at the end of the workshop. Join us for this informative hour.
The workshop leader is Deb Ralston, MC, LPC, NCC, and a resident of Sun Lakes. She is actively involved in the Missions Committee of Sun Lakes Methodist Church, as well as being a counselor at the church. Deb is a licensed and nationally-certified professional counselor. She most recently counseled grandparents raising their grandchildren for an Arizona nonprofit. Deb utilizes many cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) strategies to assist clients in making progress towards their identified goals. She also provides clients with education and training to improve overall quality of life.
