Welcome to summer! Thank you to all our library patrons who return books quickly, remember those book jackets and take care of each book so it is not damaged or lost. Other readers appreciate your thoughtfulness.
New arrivals continue to be added to our library all summer long. Check often for that book or author you want to read next. You will find new books by Patterson, J A Jance, C J Box, J D Robb, Baldacci, John Sandford, Mary Higgins Clark, Stuart Wood, Danielle Steel, Susan Wiggs and many, many more best-selling authors. Fiction and non-fiction, we often have new releases within a week of their publication.
Librarians continue to volunteer all summer long. They are there to assist you 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday. You may check out newer releases during those hours. The regular collection is available for borrowing during clubhouse hours. Summer is here. See you soon.

Amerikiss Project Classes

Cost: Varies weekly depending on item being made – cost includes all materials.
Join us for our newest event at Sun Lakes Country Club every first and third Thursday of the month! Amerikiss is an all-inclusive class that will allow you to leave with your very own personal keepsake. Follow along as the instructor leads the class through the selected event item. Tickets available at the Administrative Services desk.
Father’s Day Steak and Eggs Special
Date: Sunday, June 18
Time: 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Location: Sunset Grill
Cost: $12.95
Treat your fathers and loved ones at the Sunset Grill for Father’s Day Steak and Eggs Special! Along with the regular Sunset Grill menu, a delicious special meal of steak and eggs will be available for purchase. No event ticket purchase necessary. Happy Father’s Day!
Diamondbacks Baseball Trips
Dates: May 24, June 29, July 26, August 11 and September 14
Time: Bus leaves at 11:00 a.m. for all games, except August 11 at 4:30 p.m.
Location: SLCC Parking Lot
Cost: $45
Enjoy suite-level seats, round-trip bus transportation and all-you-can-eat food at Chase Field! Tickets will go on sale for each game after the previous game has concluded. Handicap seating is available with a timely request. Please note there is a fair distance to walk and some stair climbing may be required. Wheelchair assistance is available upon timely request. SLCC and the Diamondbacks will do everything they can to assist you, with proper notice. Advance purchase tickets required. Purchase your tickets at the Administrative Services desk.
Blood Drive

Date: Monday, Thursday and Friday (depending on weather temperature)
Time: 3:00-7:00 p.m.
Location: North Patio
Join us on the North Patio for specialty drinks! Enjoy the misting and fan system when it’s warm, cozy fire pits when it’s cool and our relaxing furniture. We have live entertainment every Friday night! $3.25 well drinks, $2.50 cans of beer, $3.25 glass of wine.
UpTown Art Painting Class and Wine
Date: Friday, June 16
Time: 2:00-4:30 p.m.
Location: Navajo Room
Cost: $23 per person
Join us for an afternoon of painting and wine with your friends! UpTown Art brings painting to you with an all-inclusive class that will allow you to leave with your very own masterpiece. The cost of the event includes all the materials you will need, personalized instruction and a complimentary glass of wine. Follow along as an UpTown Artist leads the entire class through painting the selected event picture.
Not an artist? That’s okay! The instructors are there to make it easy for you to follow along and will help individuals as needed.

Sunday Omelet Station at the Sunset Grill

Sunset Grill Dinner Service

Join us for full service dinner provided from your very own Association restaurant! Thursday night is our featured prime rib special! House Cut is only $14.95 and our King Cut is $17.95. Every Friday is our traditional all-you-can-eat fish fry for only $12.95! We hope to see you soon!
Team Trivia
Date: Every Monday
Time: 6:00 p.m.
Location: Arizona Room
Team Trivia is a live hosted trivia game. Play as a solo player or bring your friends to lend a helping mind. Compete against other teams for prizes! Our categories include everything from history, TV, sports, geography, music and just about anything else you can think of. If you want to show your competition just how smart you are, this is your chance!
There is no cost or obligation to play. All materials will be provided free of charge. Just bring yourself and a desire to have some fun! There will be a cash bar available and a chance to win prizes and enter to win the 50/50 raffle.
