Among the new members joining the Cotillion Dance Club this season are Jade and Wendell Néff, who attended last season’s Set the Night to Music Gala on April 8, 2016, as guests of members KC and Bob Rutowski. We are looking forward to spending time with them at the first dance of the season.
The 2017-2018 season opens with Havana Nights on October 14, 2017. This will be a semi-formal affair where Cuban sunset fine dining/dancing attire from the ‘50s is appropriate. The Lyn Jackson Ensemble will be presenting a themed performance. They were a smash hit last March. Lyn’s vocals were truly memorable. Be sure to mark your calendars and register early. Lyn packs the ballroom, and guest seating will undoubtedly be limited. The chef is preparing special hors d’oeuvres, and Lyn will be providing instrumental background music for the reception. The dinner concludes with chef Lilly’s Bread Pudding with Bourbon Sauce – yum! The first group dance lesson for the season will be the Rumba. Mark October 12 at 10:00 a.m. in the Oakwood dance studio on your calendar.
