A large group from Cheers went on a Mystery Tour in mid-November and thoroughly enjoyed the day. Among the stops were the Basha Museum of Western Art and the Train Museum in Chandler and the Racing Museum in Phoenix. They also enjoyed a picnic lunch at the Farm in Phoenix. Think about signing up for the next Mystery Tour. They are a lot of fun.
Early November, the wine tasting group was treated to an evening of wines from the Kokopelli vineyards in Wilcox, Arizona. We started the evening with a presentation by Dottie Mead about Kokopelli, who he was and what he stood for. This was followed by tasting four different wines all from the Kokopelli vineyards. We started with Chardonnay followed by Cabernet Sauvignon, Riesling and Sweet Lucy Red. They were very well liked. Sweet Lucy did get mixed reviews. It is more of a dessert wine. Some liked it and some did not. The evening was great. Good food good wine and good friendship were abundant. Think about signing up to be a host or hostess.
There were quite a few other events in November and December: Christmas trips to Prescott’s Christmas parade and lunch and The Red Rock Fantasy; also, longer trips to Tucson and Nashville. Those going had a wonderful time. Think about signing up for next year’s trips.
