The Southeast Valley Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) is proud to announce that Lynette Taleno is the recipient of the 2017 Annual $1,000 Scholarship. She graduated from Basha High School in May 2017, and is attending Chandler-Gilbert Community College where her major is psychology. She plans to work toward her associates degree there and then to attend Grand Canyon University to continue studies for her BA degree. Her hope is to become a counselor or clinical psychologist. She thanks us for the scholarship and says it enabled her to buy her books and calculator this term.
Since 1881, The American Association of University Women (AAUW) advances equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy and research.
