The Scandinavian Club of the Southeast Valley invites you to join them for an evening of food and entertainment on December 8 at the Sun Lakes Clubhouse. Social hour is from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in the Navajo Room where you can feast on pickled herring, cheese and crackers while socializing with old friends and making new ones. Dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. in the main dining room. December’s menu includes baked cod (sorry, no lutefisk!), veggies, roasted potatoes, salad and dessert. An entertaining program will begin at 7:00 p.m. and be over at 8:00 p.m. There will even be a short Scandinavian language lesson, so you will be able to greet your friends and family the way it’s done in “the old country”! Could there even be a Christmas carol singalong?
The club welcomes one and all to attend its dinners and programs, but reservations are necessary and must be made by December 3. Dinners are $15 for non-members and $20 for members. Dues are $20. To make a reservation, contact Jerry Johnson at 612-817-9670 or email him at [email protected]. If you are unable to attend and have made a reservation, please make your payment, as the club will be charged for your dinner.
Hope to see you in December. God Jul!
