Message From The President
Anne Montgomery
I have read several articles lately on “What Makes a Successful Community,” with particular emphasis on those designed for 55+ active adults. Beyond the importance of location and readily-available goods, services and health care and a wide range of amenities, vital factors include having a vision for the future and building on community assets. Cooperation between the Board of Directors, management and homeowners for the benefit of all, attention given to community aesthetics and having strong and stable leadership and committed volunteers are also important factors. Fundamentally, it is homeowners who provide the community with its heart and guide its success. So, how do you think we measure up? Cottonwood Palo Verde has an enviable location, a strong and stable management team, a committed Board of Directors, the strength of our nine standing Committees and engaged and supportive homeowners. I think we can agree that Cottonwood Palo Verde measures up very well. Being our best is a living commitment, and we will continue to work very hard to maintain and further the success of our “little slice of paradise.”
Fitness Activity Center (FAC) Update: With the steel building framing and much of the concrete work completed, according to our contractor’s schedule for this month, we should see the exterior of the building taking shape with roofing, doors, windows, stucco work and stone veneer, along with various site finishing such as lighting bases and poles and landscape sprinkler installation, as well as interior systems. Please remember that all schedules are subject to events on the ground and weather. This site remains a hardhat area and may be entered by authorized personnel only. Keep up with the progress by checking out the updated photos on the website or visiting Homeowner Services.
Congratulations to Tina Ellis, April’s Employee of the Month. Tina is an asset to CWPV’s Homeowner Services Team. She takes on projects asked of her with enthusiasm and an attitude of “how can I make it better.” Tina is efficient and professional while maintaining a positive and cheerful demeanor. She greets homeowners with her contagious smile, making them feel welcome as soon as they come in the door. Tina steps up to help the team and homeowners well beyond what is expected. We are very fortunate to have her representing our HOA. Thank you, Tina. Seeing that smile is always a day brightener!
Safe and happy travels to our friends and neighbors who are heading out for the summer.
