January 2020 — the beginning of a new year and a new decade. For many, it is symbolically a time for new beginnings. But if you are grieving the death of a loved one, you may fail to see the luster of new beginnings. For you, this is a time of remembering the past and only surviving the present with your sense of loss and sadness.
If you are frustrated with the thought of moving forward with your life because of the grief you bear, consider being a part of the Wednesday GriefShare class at Sun Lakes United Methodist Church, beginning Jan. 15 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Here is what one 2019 participant said: “Taking GriefShare was one of the best things I have done this year. I can never thank you enough for answering our questions and comments… and caring for each of us in so many ways!”
The 11-week classes are a separate module with a different lesson, so if you are not able to attend every class, you are welcome to come as often as you wish. The cost is $15 for your personal workbook. Register by calling the church office at 480-895-8766. Sun Lakes United Methodist Church is located at 9248 East Riggs Road.
Make January 2020 a time of new beginnings by dealing with your grief. Come to GriefShare and let us share your pain and walk with you during your grief journey.
