Rina Cupples, Traditional Reiki Teaching Master
Several folks recently attended a Reiki Level 1 Training class with me to learn the art of laying-on of hands healing. Class instruction was given over a four-day weekend, of three hours each afternoon—12 hours for instruction and time to practice.
During training, students learned how to give healing-balancing energy to themselves and for loved ones. Even pets benefit from and enjoy receiving Reiki.
Students are given a Reiki manual, which contains all the information we cover in class. It’s not necessary to write your own notes.
Students have time to exchange receiving and giving Reiki with fellow attendees. Because Reiki is so deeply relaxing, several students fell asleep while they received the energy. Snoring is music to my ears! I know you can’t get more relaxed than that!
During the first three-hour training session, I teach the history of Reiki, giving background information on energy healing, i.e., what it is; how to use it. I demonstrate how to give yourself Reiki and lead students through a self-healing session. The Reiki energy augments your body’s own natural healing process as it helps reduce, or eliminate, pain.
During the second, third, and fourth day classes, attendees learned how to give a Reiki session to others. Four attunements are included to align you with the Reiki Life Force energy.
When I receive a Reiki treatment, I feel soothed and comforted, and I can let go of worries and my “have-to” list. I feel peaceful for a long time afterward.
