Message from the President
Roger Beagle
Each year, the board and management recognize an Employee of the Year for our Cottonwood Palo Verde community. For the 2020 year, we are recognizing Co-Employees of the Year Adan Ruelas and Natasha Martinez-Wilson. Adan works in the Common Area Department. He possesses a positive attitude and remains focused on weekly and monthly tasks, along with being encouraging and supportive of his team members. Natasha has been with the HOA since 2017 and has worked her way up to the weekend housekeeping supervisor. She always volunteers for additional work, pays attention to details, and is considered a great employee. We appreciate both our Employees of the Year for all they do for our community.
Projects during the month in our Cottonwood Palo Verde community: completion of the Palo Verde restrooms, which are extremely nice, and the start of construction for the new pickleball courts. Be sure to visit our community website to view pictures of the progress.
We would like to give a special congratulations to Marshall Reichert and Josh Blackburn for successfully passing the Certified Beer Service Exam. This certificate provides the fundamentals to best prepare to sell or service a wide range of beers with food pairings.
Our Board of Directors Election is just around the corner. Ballots were mailed on Feb. 19 to homeowners. Plan to attend Meet the Candidates on Wednesday, March 10, at 2 p.m. on the Palo Verde patio. Voting day is Wednesday, March 17. Directors will be installed at the annual meeting on Wednesday, March 31.
Please remember to drive safely while Maricopa County road construction continues in Cottonwood. Thank you very much for your patience.
The month of February gave us some rain and cloudy days. As March approaches, we look forward to outdoor activities being filled with participants. Sunshine and warmer weather are just ahead.
Please continue to enjoy all of our community amenities: restaurants, bars, golf courses, Fitness Center, lakes, greenbelts, library, bike/walking paths, bocce ball, Sisk Park, tennis, racquetball, and pickleball courts.
Your board of directors is always working for your continued enjoyment of our community.
